Logan / the 4th!

We went to Logan Thursday the 28th. The kids were happy to play and be at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Friday morning the kids finished their to-dos and so we went to the library for story time. We played away the rest of the day at my parents.
Saturday morning we took Kendal and Peter ice skating. They earned it as one of their rewards. The kids surprised us with their willingness and determination to learn and try. Casey and I were a bit timid, but made our way around. Kendal even let go of her walker towards the end and was doing good trying in her own. Peter wanted to go go go, so he stuck with his walker, and had a good time trying skating out.
Andy, Kim, Campbell, and Hailey came up that afternoon. We shot arrows, blew giant bubbles, and shot off bottle rockets. The kids had a great time together!

We went to church Sunday with my parents. Casey and I are impressed that each time we visit family the kids are so willing to go and join the wards primary classes without complaint. We got to go visit Nana that evening. We got to chat and Kendal beat Tate at battleship.
Monday morning Katherine and Peter went and cashed in his birthday present and went to play arcade games at the fun park. He loved going and came back with a haul of goodies. His favorite find was a pair of handcuffs. He hasn't stopped played with them since. Monday afternoon I took the kids and met up with Anica and the boys at the splash pad. Kendal and Peter enjoyed themselves. Alice didn't like being "put" into the water and happily carried around towels. Elliot was in and out of the water when he wanted to be. Afterwards we played at their house for a bit.

Tuesday we played at my parents, and ran some errands. Andy, Kim, and her two youngest came back up. We all got together for dinner and then headed over to our usual spot for fireworks. Anica's parents joined us, along with Billie and her kids. The kids played for awhile and we enjoyed the fireworks and treats. Alice fell asleep on my Dad's lap during fireworks.

I made pancakes on the morning of the fourth, and even attempted some firework pancakes for Haileys birthday. We went out to the Hyrum parade with David, Anica, Kim, Billie, Mom, Katherine, and all the kids. Alice had a few treats, but generally stayed away from the chaos. Peter was having a good time till he tripped and got a bloody nose then watched the rest of the parade from my lap. Kendal was amazing and got candy for everyone around her. She was sweet to share her spoils and make sure everyone was getting a fair share. Later we went to Uncle Tony's for a bbq and the kids played in the water. Peter snuck lots of root beer and treats, Kendal had so much fun with Emma and Hailey, and Alice was happy to snack, hang out, or be with Maggie! We ended our night with fireworks out front of my parents house.

Thursday I joined my parents for a Dr visit for my Mom. She's amazing with all that she goes through, and has a lot coming up in relation to her seizures. It's scary and hard, but I hope and pray she finds direction, comfort, and above all the help she deserves. (You can do hard things mama 💜!) Casey stayed with the kids. Aunt Katherine joined them to go out to Pepperidge farm and Caspers Ice cream! We had dinner and a mallow roast out at David and Anica's that evening.

Friday we took lunch out to the boys at work. Then we spent a bit of time at nanas cleaning. Alice was past done so she and Peter left with mom and Katherine while Kendal and I got some time with Nana and Linda. The kids ran through the sprinklers that evening before dinner.

Saturday morning we did the project at Home depot. Alice even got to join in and spent the rest of the day in her apron. Casey and David went to a  movie so we played longer with Elliot. We made our way home Saturday afternoon. It was a wonderful visit full of family and loads of fun!
