Kendal and Pete finished their Track season on the 7th. They were in Wendall, running in the wind and chill. I was not able to go because we had the book fair at Stricker that week. Neither ran the 800 because they had other teammates make the top four in that event. Kendal ended up being pulled into a 4x100 at districts with some seventh graders.
Peter pr'd in the mile with a time of 6:36. He triple jumped and got a pr with 27 ft 4 inches (with the wind at his back). He took third in districts for the Triple jump and will compete at state for it.
Kendal got 7:34 in the mile and got fifth place. Kendal got a pr in her triple jump with 27 ft taking second place and also will compete in state.
My parents came up on Friday the 10th for Grandparents day and to enjoy the weekend with us. Alice was counting down the days and so excited to have them have lunch with her at school. Grandma and Grandpa took Alice after lunch since I had to stick around for the book fair and then go listen to Senior presentations. They also picked up Kendal and Pete after school and treated the kids to Kona Ice. The kids helped Grandpa and Grandma with our crazy yard and then they took us out to eat at Idaho Joe's afterwards.
I took my Mom to the Temple Saturday morning and then out to lunch at Olive Garden. It was a wonderful morning together. The kids / men continued to put back together the yard for us, and then went over to the school to shoot off our Easter rockets. That afternoon Alice had a soccer game. Her team only got to play 6 kids on the field at one time because the other team only had 6 kids, so she didn't get a lot of play time. Afterwards we went miniature golfing and then had pizza at home afterwards. Kendal went off to a church dance that night while we watched a show at home.
Mother's day was Sunday and we had a nice morning going to church and spending time together. My parents took the kids to see Shoshone falls after church, while Casey and I headed back to make dinner. My parents headed out after lunch and we had an easy going afternoon playing games together. It was a nice Mother's day all around! I'm so blessed with a wonderful Mom, who I look up to, admire, and love very much. I am also blessed with three miracles I call kids. I love them and hope I can do better for them in all things.
I'm not going to lie, work is overwhelming right now, and my anxiety over everything going on is overflowing, but I've got just over a week to make all the end of year things happen. I also have my second ABCTE test to study for and take this coming month.
We got our sprinkler system fixed this past week. I'm grateful it's fixed, and moved so we have peace of mind over it all. Yesterday we leveled out the yard a bit better with some dirt and filled in more of the corner of the house then filled it in with rock, and put my plants back. We also weeded and got the planters beds ready for planting food and flowers. Alice had her last soccer game at noon. They ended their game in a tie! She's become more hesitant in soccer since she got smashed in the face a few weeks ago. We'll see if she chooses to continue next year. Kendal was at a birthday party all afternoon, and Peter was at one in the evening.
We've got a busy week ahead. End of school, Track begins for Alice, and then State Track for Kendal and Pete on Sarurday.
