Two months!

Today our little Sweet Pea turns two months old. It's crazy the way the time has flown by. We celebrated by taking her to the doctors and giving her shots. Kendal is now 10 pounds 12 ounces, and she's a little over 21 inches long. So she's progressing well. She did well with the shots, i was actually expecting a scream fest, but she fussed for a couple of minutes and was done.

Happenings from the past month.
- Kendal has become a lot more social. She gives lots of smiles (when she's in the mood) and she gives us the occasional cooes, however most of her communication is still in grunts.
- She's developed reflux, something that ailed us for a couple of weeks until we figured out what it could be, for the most part she's doing better with medicine, but she still has her moments.
- She's outsmarted us with her medicine and vitamins. She hates the taste of both so she just hold it in her mouth until she can wiggle free from our grasp and spit them out. It definitely is a chore to get things down her.
- She has learned how much fun kicking is. Whether it's in the bathtub, on her changing table, or on the floor she goes nuts kicking. It's funny when she really gets into it because she doesn't laugh yet, so her eyes just get really wide and excited while she does it.
- We were able to bless her. As you've read from my previous post we had her blessed on Jan. 3rd surrounded by family and love. It was a great day!
- Thankfully she is sleeping longer at night. We can get five to Seven hour stretches. Which has been great.

We are so grateful for our little Sweet Pea and excited for this year and all that it will bring!

Update on Casey and I. Casey is back to the grindstone with school. He has three semesters left until he graduates with his double major of Family Finance, and a teaching degree in Social Studies. So far he likes his classes, and hopefully will enjoy this semester. I am loving my time with Kendal, i enjoy being a mom!

Blessed

Kendal Ann Darrington had the opportunity to be blessed today. It was a very special and wonderful event. I was so grateful that mine and Casey's family could come and participate / celebrate with us. (minus two very important missionaries) Casey did a wonderful job blessing Kendal; it was simple, sweet, and thoughtful. I can't thank our family enough for the support and love they share with us. Kendal truly comes from a wonderful family and i can tell they love and care for her.
I feel blessed to come from a family that honors and upholds the gospel standards in their lives. Both my and Casey's family are all endowed. We are truly an eternal family, and i can ask for no greater thing than to be able to be with them all through the eternities.
Looking back on this past year i have felt so blessed. Little did i know that Casey and i would be blessed with the opportunity to become pregnant and have our little baby Kendal. She was truly a blessing that we had hoped and waited for. It took some time to get her, and i am truly grateful that she is here. We have been blessed with a loving family that continually supports and loves us. They do so much for us, i am truly grateful for all that they do for us. I have been blessed this past year with good health. Casey is usually healthy, and i managed to have a good pregnancy with little time being sick. We are also thankful that Kendal came into this world healthy and thriving. I feel blessed that i have the gospel in my life. It has truly blessed my life, and i know i would not be where i am today without it. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful husband. He truly is my best friend and my eternal companion. I love him with all of my heart! He has been blessed to be able to continue with his schooling. There are a plethora of things that have blessed me this year and i know that i'm forgetting to write some, but i truly feel blessed, and am happy to start this new year. I can't wait to see what it brings!!
