Sports, Logan, birthday fun, and adventures!

The kids finished track on the 12th. Kendal got fourth in the hurdles, second in the 800, and she had a personal best in the shot put. Peter got third in the 100, fourth in the 400, fifth in End 800, and a personal best in the long jump. Both kids pushed themselves by doing the 800. We're proud of their hard work this season! Both improved on their skills and had a fun time! They even got to end their last track meet with snow cones!

The next day we took the kids up to Boise. For Peter's birthday experience he chose to go to Build a Bear. He picked out the birthday bear and an athletic outfit for it. (Very Pete, he would wear athletic clothes everyday if he could ; i) He named his bear Flash but he's called it Teddy since. Kendal wanted to Build an animal as well so she picked out a cat covered in colored hearts. She's saving up to pay for half of the cat since it wasn't her birthday gift. Alice picked out a small colorful cat we dubbed cake.
After build a Bear we went to Roaring Springs! Peter and Kendal earned passes by reading this past school year. We had a great afternoon there. Kendal and Pete loved the tide pool the most; we pushed them to ride some of the bigger slides this time. Peter was So nervous, but rocked it! Alice was still all about the little kid area and green tubes again this year. We ended the day set JB's for dinner.

That Saturday Casey took the older two fishing with Brett, Vanessa, and their kids. Their goal was to catch some craw fish, however they weren't around , so Casey and Brett caught a few fish while the kids played around.

We got to have Casey's parents over for Fathers day afternoon. It was a nice time with them. Grandma even played games with us while Kenny got in a Fathers day nap ; ) After they left wet headed over to the school to fly kites. I think it was the first time we've got all three kites up and stayed up together for awhile!
Our kids adore Casey; he is an amazing father who loves, serves, gives, and cares so much for us! We're so lucky he's ours!

After basketball camp last Monday we headed to Logan for the week. I look back on my childhood and have so many memories of time with my Grandparents. I'm glad that weeks like this will be the sweet memories my kids look back on with family. Peter got a play date with Elliot Tuesday, kendal and Alice got play time with auntie Katherine while I took my parents down to SLC for an MRI for my Dad. Wednesday Peter got to go to work for a bit while the girls and I visited Nana. That evening Peter and Kendal got to go with Billie and her kids to play at Tony's for a bit. Thursday we finished redoing the picnic table and bench outside. Kendal, Alice, and I took dinner to Nana and Emma. Kendal was set up to stay the night but backed out in the End (she's only had two nights away from us in her whole life, and let her nerves and fear get the best of her.) Friday was Pete's birthday!! Little man turned seven! We are giving him another round of kiwi crates as his birthday present. He got to make a wooden automaton machine. Grandma and Grandpa gifted Peter Legos that he played with all day. Grandpa took him to the tool store and he picked out a wrench, pliers, and a flashlight. That afternoon we took the kids to the Arcade and then Grandpa treated everyone to bowling. Peter blew us all away and won by more than 30 points! For dinner we had a cookout at David and Anica's. They have Peter some Star Wars Legos, we roasted dogs and ate came and Smores. Such a fun birthday, for such an amazing boy! Saturday we went to a parade out in Nibley. The kids enjoyed themselves and got loads of candy. After lunch the kids got to go ride the four wheeler. Even Grandma rode around ; ). In between all of these fun things the kids got to play around at Grandma and Grandpa's! Great week, fun times, spoiled and loved x 100!

Monday the kids finished their Kimberly basketball camp and jumped over to their second basketball camp that they're doing this week. The second camp is in Filer called the Tews camp. They haven't loved getting up to go to the camps, but love it when they're there.
We pulled out the sprinkler yesterday to combat the heat. It ended in another mud fest, but they had a good time!

Tuesday Casey took the older two on a bike ride around Kimberly. It was well over three miles. They took a break in the middle to get a soda and play at the old elementary school. Summer is in full swing with lots of aĆ outside play, and a messy house. Good times, crazy times, (two more months : 0 to go)

Peter is seven!

Happy Birthday to our awesome Pete! Today you turned seven! We are celebrating in Logan this year for your birthday. You are such an amazing little man Peter. You have a strong love for all things Lego. Your top Lego sets are Star Wars, Avengers, and Ninjago! Your creativity, and imagination have no limits when it comes to Legos and you could play with them everyday! You love to be outside as well. Roller Blading, riding your bike, Building in the garage, or digging in the dirt. You are a very organized person and like your things just so, but you also have a tendency to shove laundry in your drawer when your not in the mood to fold ; ). Peter, you still have a strong personality that is wonderful when used for good and hard when your mood turns. You have a love / fight relationship with both your sisters, but We know you love them fiercely, just as they love you. We are proud of the work you put into school and reading this year and how much you've grown. We love you Peter, your our favorite boy in the world, we're so blessed you're ours!
