A bit of an update

Last weekend Peter had his basketball tournament. They went into it in second place so their first game was a bye. They fought hard and won their second game to move onto the championship round! The championship game was really close till the end then the other team pulled ahead and Peter's team couldn't keep up. They took 2nd pace overall and did a great job! Peter showed good improvement this season and we're proud of the work he put into his game / team!

That afternoon Kendal and Peter got to go to cousin David's Harry Potter birthday party. They had a great time doing all of the classes making Potions, Herbology, Charms, etc. They made wands, watched a bit of the film and just had so much fun doing all things Harry Potter.

I had a dermatology appointment this past Monday. I went in for a skin cancer screening and came out with less of it. I've had a mole that seemed iffy so they cut it off to get checked. It was still black underneath so they decided to do a "punch" biopsy and punch out the rest of the under area to go and get tested as well. Because I got the punch biopsy as well I had to get stitches to close the site. Since it's on my right hand it took a few days getting used to the pain and not using my hand like normal, but it's fine. They sent my biopsy to the U of U in Utah and I'll know results this coming week. I already got my bill from the Dr. this week and not going to lie not having insurance sucks. (Update: The mole I had is called a Blue Nevus; it can become cancerous - but mine was not!! - and taking out stitches SUCKED!)

We had a color / personality night for combined YW this past week. We took a quiz, got a chart with our colors and discussed the different types of personalities. Red = Power, Blue = intimacy,White = Peaceful, Yellow = fun loving. Stuff like this fascinates me! I love learning more about other people, how their "wired", and what shapes them as a person. Kendal and I are fairly similar in personalities except she had more of a yellow / fun part to her chart. Casey took the quiz as well just for fun and it pegged him very well. (For records sake the color / personality thing was from Dr. Hartman). It was good for the young women to get to know themselves better and what drives their core. They learned about other personalities and how we can learn to work with and appreciate others for their different personalities / way of doing things.

Kendal had her ski day this past Thursday. Casey's students were taking a test so I encouraged him to go with her and take a day off. Kendal was looking forward to this for so long. She had an awesome day up on the mountain. She's a natural at skiing and Casey said she was outdoing him by the end. The weather was great for them and they both enjoyed their time skiing!

Not much more to fill in. Our days have their usual flow, and we're in between sports. So just a few pictures of sweet / crazy Alice, etc.

Casey made me bunnies (he's so talented!!), The kids watched the primary face to face event and did a drawing from it.

Bedtime isn't always easy.
