The week before the last week of school was packed full of events. As stated in the previous post Monday and Tuesday had swim, choir, and a field trip. I watched baby Jemma and Grady Wednesday and Thursday. It was a couple of long days, but they're sweet kids in general.  Wednesday afternoon the kids had their first track meet. Most of May was rainy and that day was no different, an hour after being there the meet was called off with Kendal only being able to do high jump (she got fourth place that day) and Peter did long jump.
Thursday afternoon Kendal and Peter had their final swim lesson. Both kids have grown in leaps and bounds this year. Kendal can go across the pool without stopping and Peter has grown a lot on skills and confidence. Both are treading well and they both passed their level!!
Thursday evening about half an hour after Grady and Jemma left Brett and Vanessa's quartet showed up for a few hours so they could go to graduation. I was spent and sick after those two days. That night Kendal had her Daddy Daughter Derby for achievement days. Once her wheels got some "grease" her car did well in the races. She had a blast creating her "girl power" car and spending time with her Daddy.

Friday evening we got to feed the missionaries. Peter originally thought they were coming because we were in trouble for something. (I assured him otherwise ; )
Saturday before memorial day we went to the cemetery in Twin. We put flowers on the Birks' baby grave and found some ancestors before the rain chased us out.

On memorial day we joined some ward friends (The Dansies and the Binghams) and went to Hagerman. We hit up the fossil museum and watched a video there so the kids could earn Jr. Ranger badges. Afterwards we went to find Salmon falls. We picnicked before starting the walk. We made it to the bridge before the falls and hit a dead end on the path. The kids threw rocks into the water for a few minutes before we decided the falls were to close to miss. So we made our way off path to the falls. They were beautiful and worth the jaunt. The older kids happily jumped around on rocks and found "fossils", shells, and sticks.
For dinner that night we had a cookout at the Dansies house. Luckily the only rain that came that day was in between our hike and dinner. It was great hanging with friends all day!

Peter had his field trip on Tuesday. They got to visit Ag service, the fire station, and had a picnic at the park.

Tuesday the kids had their first official track practice (since we missed the first for swim) and Wednesday they had their first full track meet!
Wednesday and Thursday the kids brought home loads of stuff and had fun filled days at school. Thursday they had a half day of school. Both were sad to end the year and leave their awesome teachers.
After school we joined friends and went over to sips for cookies and drinks. It was a fun way to end the school year!

Friday evening Casey and Peter headed off to Father and Sons at Nat So Pa. They went swimming Friday and hung out that evening before bed. The little boys enjoyed sailing stuff down the creek in camp. While they were gone I took the girls plus neighbor Echo out to Arctic Circle for dinner. Saturday the boys came home. I gave Casey a break and while Alice napped took the older two to the Twin Falls park for Western Days. We walked around a bit, hit up the library for their summer reading info, did the home Depot build there and ended with some ice cream on the hot day.

First full week of Summer was this past week. Casey had his last day of work on Monday. The kids started a basketball camp Monday morning. We hit up the school for the lunch program. Monday afternoon they had track practice. Casey had a basketball game Monday night.
A couple of days into summer and the kids are already into a groove. Reading (We have four eading charts going! ) playing outside with friends and just enjoying life.
Tuesday morning we watched cousins. With the extra chaos we took them over to the school to play around. That afternoon we decided to go see Aladin for my pre birthday present. It was a good show and we all really liked it. I'll forever love the original more, but liked this one as well! Alice fell asleep part way through (no complaints here ; ). Casey had basketball practice Tuesday night. We had two games last week with a tournament over the weekend and two games this week with practices in between.

Wednesday I took the kids to the library for story time and to load up on books! That evening they had they're track meet. Cheryl came into town to cheer on the grandkids! Kendal  did high jump, shot put, hurdles, and the 400 the last two weeks. Peter has done the long jump, hurdles, and 400 both weeks and switched from the 200 to the 100 this last time. They're both improving their race times, and are doing ok in the other events.

Thursday was an easy going morning. I got some shoes for my birthday and some Apple  cinnamon bread. We took the kids out to practice some track skills. Both showed improvement, but Peter got hangry and we ended at lunch. The kids had school lunch for the third time that week at the school.
That afternoon Casey let us ditch him and we headed down to Logan for a couple of days. ( Casey had a tournament in Pocatello for a couple of days so I couldn't feel to bad about leaving him. ; )  We had a good time in Logan. I was spoiled for my birthday with gifts, juniper take out, and apple pie to top it off!
Friday morning my Dad and I took the kids to the shop for some four Wheeling. Billie joined us with her three youngest for a bit. I let Kendal and Emma drive around without an adult (probably gave my Dad Mini heart attack ; ). They did well and the kids had fun!
Afterwards we went to Elk Ridge park for a bit with Anica and the boys. The kids played all over and had a good time. We hit up chick fill a for lunch and had Elliot over for the afternoon to play at Grandma and Grandpa's!

Saturday was a low key morning at my parents. The kids played around. After lunch I put Alice down and the other two got to go play up with Elliot. They played in the sand, with toys, and played Harry Potter on the Wii. I had to pry them away from the fun. That evening we took dinner and visited Nana. Emma was there and Billie came later with Maggie. The kids played all around till it was time for us to be off. We came home late, but happy from a good weekend with family.
