Kendal is 15!

Kendal turned 15 on Friday! It was her golden birthday (turning 15 on the 15th!) Kendal had to spend her birthday at school and then off to basketball games at Mountain home. Not a most exciting day, however she had wonderful friends that made her day so nice at school and her team won their first game of the season that evening!

(I did a post online for her birthday. . . look at this little squish that's only a few days old.) She was such a peaceful and sweet baby that filled our hearts and home with so much love.

Kendal did get to open presents at home on her birthday, but we were able to celebrate her together yesterday at home!

Kendal is growing up before our eyes. It's so neat to see the young woman she is becoming. Kendal continues to excell at school and loves to learn. She's not enjoying Spanish as much this year, and is finding her art class more of a challenge since the teacher is a tough grader. Kendal still plays the piano and has grown so much this last year physically and in her sports. We've seen a determination come out in her and a continued dedication to work hard at all that she does. Kendal has a most kind heart and is a friend to all around her. She's got a great group of friends. We are so very lucky to have Kendal in our hearts and in our lives.

Kendals favorite activities: Reading, running, basketball, hanging out with friends and family.

Favorite food: tacos

Favorite treat: twix or MMS, or homemade treats

Favorite subject in school: math

Favorite book: "that's hard"

When I grow up I want to be: teacher or something in the medical field like a physical therapist (or something)

Beginning of November

We took the kids out to try and find some geo caches two weeks ago. We did have success on one account, and not so lucky on the other few we tried.

Kendal had her Cross Country awards on the fifth. Kendal got her letter for being on Varsity throughout the season and a couple of certificates for being on the team and making it to state. She also got put into their 100 mile club for distance ran over the summer.

Kendal made the basketball team and gets to play for Casey this year! They've had a lot of early morning practices and had their first game on Kendal's birthday a couple of days go. They won their first game 60 to 27!

We had an author Gary Hogg come in to visit the Elementary schools on the 6th and 7th. He did special assemblies and workshops for the kids each day and Thursday night held a literacy night on the 7th. He told fun stories and did spotlights on some of the students writing that came from his workshops. Alice loved the whole experience and came out of that day wanting to be an author. It was so sweet to watch her excitement and I loved seeing her creative heart soar.

Last Saturday Alice and I joined Cheryl, Nicole, and Ashley down to SLC for a day trip to see Disney on Ice. the girls had the best time watching the show! Alice got to see her favorite Disney characters and we enjoyed the story and fun! It was a lot of driving that day, but worth it for the girls.

Alice had a couple of days hope this week with a stomach bug. It wiped her out, but she's on the other side now. I got a lot of cleaning in and finished my literacy class.

Pete was able to do some service the last two Saturdays with his deacons quorum. Yesterday was cleaning out branches from a local fishing place.

One more of the little lady.

Cross Country Pictures from this fall

Stephanie Winward had a son in middle school and a daughter in high school running Cross Country this year. She is an amazing photographer and shared with me a plethora of pictures from their seasons. I can't pinpoint many of the races from the pictures she sent so I thought I'd post them all together. Love these kids and their awesomeness!
